Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter video game developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for the PlayStation 3, Windows, and the Xbox 360. It is scheduled for release for Mac OS X in the third quarter of 2008. It is the fourth installment of the Call of Duty video game series, excluding expansion packs. The game breaks away from the World War II setting of previous games in the series and is instead set in modern times. The game is the first in the series to be rated Mature in North America. The title and game details were announced on April 25, 2007,and the game was released worldwide between November 6, 2007 and November 9, 2007. It became available on Steam on November 6, 2007 for pre-purchase, and was available to play on November 12, 2007.

The story is centered around a fictional near-future conflict involving the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia, who are fighting against Russian ultranationalists in civil war torn Russia, and rebels that have staged a coup d'état in a small Middle Eastern country. It is told from the perspectives of a United States Marine and a member of the British SAS, and is set in multiple locations, including the Middle East, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Prypiat, Ukraine. The multiplayer portion of the game features various game modes, and contains a leveling system that allows the player to unlock additional weapons, weapon attachments, and camouflage schemes as they advance.The game was in development for two years. It uses a proprietary game engine, and includes features that include true world-dynamic lightning, HDR lighting effects, dynamics shadows, and depth of field.

Choose your loadout carefully and only go lethal when all else fails and the lives of innocents or a squad member are at stake. In SWAT 4, you're the leader, nicknamed "Boss," and it's your job to command three other specialists through a variety of missions in every corner of a perilous, crime-infested city. Your special weapons and tactics squad consists of basic specialist types, an Assaulter, a Breacher, a Scout and a Non-lethal Specialist. These specialists can be customized to your tastes, and you can pick weapons that suit your mission objectives and plan. In keeping with SWAT 4's focus on non-lethal, life-preserving engagements, you can choose weapons such as tasers, flashbang grenades, and a bean bag-hurling shotgun. Of course, many situations turn hot, and the baddies you'll face will be well armed, so there is a complete selection of lethal firepower, as well. Your missions will focus on neutralizing criminal elements and taking as many suspects into custody as possible. How you do that is up to you, but the game demands restraint, stealth and an eye for gaining the tactical advantage over opponents. You'll use items like the "Optiwand" to look around corners and under doors to scout for foes, before rushing in and subduing a suspect with pepper spray, CS gas or, if things turn ugly, live rounds. Be careful, though; killing innocents will end your mission immediately. As squad leader, you make the ultimate calls about whether to enter rooms, open fire, or retreat. You'll command three other capable comrades with the only goal of keeping people alive. SWAT 4's intuitive command system will have you giving orders and organizing your team effectively in no time. All commands are contextual, meaning the game provides possible options depending on the situation you're in. This allows you to make decisions quickly, because when lives are at stake and the action heats up, one thing you don't have is a lot of time. The SWAT franchise is well known for great multi-player action, and SWAT 4 is no exception. You can play online in one of three modes, Barricaded Suspects, V.I.P. Escort, or Rapid Deployment. Each mode comes with unique challenges and makes special demands on your powers of cooperation and command. Keep a cool head, and keep the body bags to a minimum.

Installation Instructions:
1) Extract the archive.
2) Insert the Halo 2 DVD
3) Run Startup.exe on the Halo 2 DVD using the included Loader.exe
Ie.: Loader.exe D:\Startup.exe
4) Install the game.
5) Install XLiveRedist1.0.6027.msi and vcredist.msi from the \redists dir on the Halo 2 DVD.
6) Copy the following files into the directory you installed Halo 2:
dwmapi.dll, mf.dll, MFPlat.dll
7) Finished. To play the game, run halo2.exe using the included Loader.exe
Ie.: Loader.exe "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2\halo2.exe"


Notes:
You need to be logged in with an administrator account for Loader.exe to work, since it uses privileged API's.
Currently the code for playing the intro and credits movies is unimplemented,
so if you want to see them you'll have to play them yourself (they're located in \movie).
I haven't tested the online functionality of the game, it will probably need more attention.

The Experiment

Having to view the dead vessel through camera lenses provides some odd fish-eye perspectives. Lea probably isn't as angular in real life. But you're not entirely alone. A scientist named Lea Nichols, who was working on some sort of ocean-going research project before it went horribly wrong and everyone was killed, wakes up in a cabin before one of your cameras at the start of the game. She has no idea who you are, though, so all you can do to find answers is to help her flee the corpse-strewn corridors of the vessel. You never take direct control of Lea, however, so you're stuck leading her from room to room by turning on and off lights and various other devices, along with unlocking doors. The idea is to get her in the right position to solve problems on her own, with you monitoring her progress on the many surveillance cameras scattered in every nook and cranny of the ship and chipping in to help by providing computer access codes, answering questions by nodding or shaking cameras, and occasionally operating robot vehicles of one sort or another.
Generally, Lea provides an objective and you then lead her toward it by using lights, computer screens, and the like as carrots. When she reaches a key quest location like a freezer, safe, desk, or lab table, Lea completes the task at hand or prompts you to help her by providing more information dredged up from the research center's computer system. Sometimes you also need to access all of the cameras in a certain area and pan them around looking for clues. As the game goes on, Lea adds more functions to the camera system, such as the ability to light up dark rooms or the ability to zoom in on documents, but you're always detached from your surroundings and doing nearly everything through Lea.

The Chronicles Of Narnia Prince Caspian (Xbox 360)

Revisit the rich, fantasy land of Narnia. Based on the second Walt Disney and Walden Media film of the epic Narnia series, Prince Caspian finds Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter whisked back to Narnia to help drive out the cruel King Miraz.

The game allows players to assume the role of 20 different characters from the film, including non-human Narnians. Game info:
Assil, a young Egyptian architect's son, steals the key of the great pyramid in
Cairo to throw a party, but once inside he accidentally knocks over some ancient
urns. Struck by a death curse of a disturbed mummy, he has very little time
left. At the same time, however, he receives the magical ankh, and he may be
about to meet the woman of his dreams. The pharaoh is the only one who can help
you, but you are just a pleb, so you need to travel through the Egyptian locale
and find a way to attract his attention.



The game uses a 3D engine with a fixed camera and everything is controlled by
the mouse. Upon hovering over items, the appropriate action appears: walking,
running, looking, picking up, talking or using. Items are gathered in the
inventory at the top of the screen. You can examine them, use them in the
environment, or combine to create a new item. At certain moments, you control
multiple characters and need to exchange items to solve the puzzles. The tab
button brings up a list of all open quests.



Although there is no time dependency, the curse's effects become visible when
the magic takes over control of Assil's body, and mystical tattoos appear
progressively. The graphics and humour are reminiscent of the LucasArts
adventures, and Telltale Games, with many ex-LucasArts employees aboard, took on
an advisory role for the project.

You play the role of an Egyptian archaeologist (actress Chiara Mastroianni) as
she searches for metropolis Atlantis built by the ancient Egyptians located near
a mysterious well. She is fascinated by the very existence of the lost city of
Atlantis because it is still undiscovered and is a long way from her native
Egypt. Along her journey she is befriended by a handsome Tuareg, a loner who
lost his family some years ago and decided to turn his back on the modern world
to live as his ancestors before him. Refusing to leave our beautiful heroine
alone in the desert, he decides to accompany her on her mysterious and dangerous
quest for the lost city. Atlantis III features extremely high quality graphics,
Myst-like scenes that can be viewed in 360 degrees, dozens of conundrums and
puzzles though mostly they aren't very hard. Overall, Atlantis III is very well
done adventure game that offers around 10-15 hours of playing without
frustrating moments. If you're a fan of Myst or if you liked previous Cryo's
Atlantis adventures then you will definetely like it.



The game is divided into three parts and you'll have to finish the first part -
Egypt - before you can continue. It's a kind of test proving your abilities to
show that you are worthy of the following tasks. After completing this part you
are free to choose where to go next - as a young mammoth huntress in Stone Age
Syberia or as a resourceful thief in a story of 1001 Nights. During both
journeys you can go back to your starting-point to pass over to the other
journey.

Note: the patch improves compatibility with NVIDIA GeForce
video cards and solves a freeze problem on faster (> 1.8 Ghz) machines

Crysis [FULL]

Description:

Crysis is an award winning science fiction first-person shooter computer game developed by German video game developer Crytek and published by Electronic Arts, and is the first game of a planned trilogy. It was released on November 13, 2007 in North America, November 15 in Australia, November 16 in Europe, November 23 in New Zealand, and November 29 in Japan. Well-received by critics, sales were initially slow as early NPD figures were taken as a sign that the game had flopped. However, during Electronic Arts' Q3 2008 Earnings Conference Call, it was stated that Crysis had sold over one million copies worldwide in the fiscal quarter and that the game continues to exceed sales expectations. Crysis is based in a fictional future where an ancient alien spacecraft has been discovered beneath the Earth on an island near the coast of China. The single-player campaign has the player assume the role of United States Delta Force operator Jake Dunn, referred to in-game by his call sign, Nomad. Nomad is armed with various futuristic weapons and equipment, most notably a "Nano Muscle Suit" which, according to Crytek senior game designer Bernd Diemer, was inspired by the United States' Future Force Warrior 2020 program. In Crysis, the player fights both North Korean and extraterrestrial enemies, in four different locations: a tropical island jungle, inside an "Ice Sphere" (consisting of the same jungle, but frozen), the alien ship itself (with a zero-gravity area) and a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier. Crysis uses Microsoft's new API, Direct3D 10 (DirectX 10) for graphics rendering, and includes the same editor that was used by Crytek to create the game.

Well known group ViTALiTY who haven’t released anything major in the last while are back with yet another RTS this time being “Crusaders Thy Kingdom Come”. This is a medevil style RTS so if you’re into that kind of thing you might enjoy this. This release comes in at 4.32 which is average size now a days. Oddly this release was pred with no group name, the group being ViTALiTY. If you’re into RTSs download and enjoy 

Crusader knights – they might be penniless mercenaries or proud princes, ruthless warriors or visionaries, but our heroes have one thing in common: their resolution and pledge to reach Jerusalem. The game offers five notable personalities as possible viewpoint characters, from the great nations of medieval Europe, each of them with a different background, level of wealth, fighting skills, goals and dreams.
